Katherine Taylor, PsyD, MPH
Dr. Katherine Taylor is a clinical psychologist with a passion for increasing access to affordable and accessible mental health care. She is particularly interested in connecting people to support outside the traditional therapy space.
Dr. Taylor’s research and evaluation projects focus on ways to use technology to enhance connection to care, especially among Veterans and other traditionally underserved populations. Her recent clinical work has examined strategies for enhancing support for people in the postpartum period. She also has a passion for teaching and mentoring students interested in public mental health and technology.
Current Roles
Dr. Taylor is a member of the Mobile Apps Team at the National Center for PTSD, part of the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. She also serves as a provider on the Behavioral Health team at Golden Gate Obstetrics and Gynecology, in San Francisco. She offers short-term individual therapy via her private practice.
Education and Training
Dr. Taylor has a BA in Psychology from Stanford University, an MPH in Community Health Sciences from UCLA, and a PsyD from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. She has a PMH-C from Postpartum Support International. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System.
When not working, Katie enjoys finding the nearest ocean, eating Winter White Chocolate ice cream from Baskin Robbins, and chasing her three children and her cattle dog/staffy mix, Rosie.
